Book three of the Colt Garrett series, Shanghai Protocol, is in development, and I plan to publish the novel in December of 2022. I’ve completed the research and outlining, finalized the character list, and the biographies are nearly complete. In a departure from the first two novels, I decided to write the book’s ending first. Although it will make writing the book easier because I know where the story is going, the primary reason for crafting the last chapter first is that the elements came to me while taking a shower. I’ve found my imagination works best when walking by myself or in the shower. I kind of zone out, and the story seems just to flow. I wonder if this is how it works with others?
